The iXpenseIt currency conversion utility automatcially detects when you attempt to input a foreign currency amount. It retrieves the most recent exchange rate from online and uses it to convert the foreign currency to your default local currency.
The iXpenseIt graph report is interactive. You can view the report by Pie chart or Bar chart. When tap on each section of the report, it will display sub-reports. Turn your iPhone or iPod touch sideways, and the report will be displayed horizontally to allow more viewing space.
The iXpenseIt simple budget gives you a very quick option of set your monthly budget. Specify your monthly budget amount and you are done!
The iXpenseit Detail budget allows you to specify a monthly budget for any expense Categories you have setup. For example you can set your monthly budget for Food at $500, and every time you enter a new food expense, iXpenseit will deduct that amount from the $500 of the food budget. Each category budget adds to the toal budget, which is displayed on the Home screen.

The iXpenseIt export feature allows you to archive and backup your data conviniently. Using the Wi-Fi option, you can quickly access all your iXpenseIt data via any web browser. You can also email your iXpenseIt reports including photos of your expense receipt. Export files are in .HTML pre-formatted report or you can choose the .CSV file attachement to be imported into Microsoft Excel or Apple's Number applications or any other desktop applications that supports .CSV files.

This app is the only successful finance-keeping method I have had, ever since balancing one's checkbook became unpopular. But what really matters is not the dollar value of your bank account, but your net cash flow. iExpenseIt has this displayed at the top of every screen.
The critical feature, however, is the ability to create custom searches and reports. Whether it be tracking my paychecks, checking my dining-out budget, or seeing how much I actually spend on gasoline (versus transit), I can find out in an instant where my money is going. The reports it generates are invaluable. iExpenseIt has changed my spending habits for the better.
The bad news is that I haven't tried any other expense tracking apps. The good news is I haven't had to. I like what iXPensIt does. Tracking expenses is mundane an burdensome so I'm happy when an app mitigates the pain. I especially like the smart interface, the auto complete fields and, especially, the option to export as CSV files. Also, I like that I can easily backup to Dropbox on demand. So far, it seems I can customize the app as much as I need to. One drawback I see is no option to edit categories unless you are entering an expense. I'd like to just add or delete or reassign categories and subcategories anytime as needed, not only durning a transaction.
